Where's Momma

Where is my mamma?(by D. L. Moody)

What makes Heaven attractive for us?It won't be the pearly gates! It won't be the streets paved with transparent gold! These would not satisfy us! If these were all--we would not want to stay in Heaven forever.

I heard the other day, of a

little girl whose

mother was very sick. While she was sick, one of the neighbors took the child away to stay with her, until the mother would be well again. But instead of getting better--the mother died! They thought it best, that they should not tell the child, nor take her home until the funeral was all over.

So a while afterward, they brought the little girl home. First she went into the sitting-room to find her mother; then she went into the parlor; and then she went from one end of the house to the other--and could not find her mother. At last she said, "

Where is my mamma?" And when they told her that her mamma had died, the little girl wanted to go back to the

neighbor's house again.

Home had lost its attractions to her--since her mother was no longer there!

Just so--it is not the

streets of gold and the

pearly gates that are going to make Heaven attractive. It is the being with Jesus, our beloved Redeemer!

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to

be with Me--that you also may be

where I am!" John 14:3

"I desire to depart and

be with Christ--which is better by far!" Philippians 1:23

"And so we will be

with the Lord forever!" 1 Thessalonians 4:17

When your worst happens

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.

He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him,

and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

However one day, after scavenging for food,he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened -everything was lost.

He was stunned with grief and anger.

"God, how could you do this to me?" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island.

It had come to rescue him.

"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.

"We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God!

For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves,

God has a positive answer for it.

Amen.

No Coach Seats in Heaven !

I had the opportunity to go on vacation in Phoenix, Arizona about 2 years ago to see extended family and friends, well on the plane, there were two sections of seats , 3 rows on each side , both sections divided from the rest of the plane by a nothing special plain blue thin drape curtain ,

we flew Air Tran, well, the people in coach paid a little more for their seats , for the privilege they had more leg room. The seat was plush leather, and they had better snacks and repeated drinks... very good customer service , oh and a bathroom near their seating.

Where as we had 1 snack and a child's portion of ginger ale.... Mind you we all paid over 100$ plus for our seats , yet a notice able different was made, with respect to who paid more, to sit in first class were guaranteed king and queen treatment!

While we weren't treated bad, we still had to sit back and observe all the catering first class was getting through the thinly veiled curtain.

Watching all this going on, got me to thinking and writing ......

I am so glad when time come to go to heaven there will be no first class seats or coach seating we will all sit in heavenly places, beside the coveted seat that was vacated briefly when Christ came to earth to redeem man back to himself.

By becoming a sacrificial lamb, when it became evident the blood of animals was no longer enough to atone for the sins of the world, as knowledge increased, the people found new ways of perverting themselves.

Instead of enhancing themselves for the better, they grew worse and more perverted and wicked... So you see when the glory train comes during that transition of life and death, we will all sit in the same seat, no curtains will divide us, as Christ has already torn down the veil, the partition that was separating us from him,

we can all come boldly to the throne for our deeds in the flesh to be judged by a merciful God who sees us through eyes full of grace , mercy and sees us through the blood of Jesus. There will be no respect of person on the glory train , naked and empty hand we came into this world , we brought nothing in, surely we will take nothing out....

your soul is all you have, that you can dictate where it will spend eternity. Your body my body has a appointment with death one day, when the trumpet is sounded we will abroad the Glory train, or in my case the airplane .

no coach seats or first class seats , just sit anywhere.....plenty of room for one more!

Romans 2:12 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Matthew 27:51
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Sharing $20.00 worth of your time ..

A small touching story mainly for professionals...

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

DAD: "Yeah sure, what it is?" replied the man.
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.

SON: "I just want to know.. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour."
SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $10.00 ?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that
$10.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10.00 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.
It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Do remember to share that $20.00 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.
But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

PLS READ WITH FAITH.. This is an awesome prayer.

Believe it and you shall be blessed.

The problem with many of us is that we don't believe that God will open a Window and pour out blessings that we won't have room to receive them. I
Dare anyone to try God. He is true to His word. God cannot lie and His Promises are sure.

Three things will happen to you this coming week:

(1) You will find favor with someone you don't expect;
(2) You will be too relevant to be ignored;
(3) You will encounter God and you will never remain the same again.

My prayer for you today:

The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hands that will send this message to others shall not labour in vain, the mouth saying Amen To this prayer shall laugh forever. Remain in God's love as you send this Prayer to everybody y on y our list. Have a lovely journey of life! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will never fail you because He is AWESOME!
