Happy Pentecost

Fan the Fire.......Fan the Flames,

Happy Birthday Holy Ghost!

Today marks the estimated date of the Holy Ghost being given unto the church...Jesus told the disciples to go to the upper room and to wait to be overcome with the power of the Holy Ghost....He separated them so they would have no distractions from the world, Jesus needed their minds to be on one accord.....( see the book of Acts in the Bible )

The Comforter coming in the form of the Holy Ghost is symbolic in saying to all mankind, that the Spirit of the Lord will no longer just live in the pages of the Bible, but it the Holy Spirit will live in the hearts of humans every where.

The Holy Spirit desires to have a relationship with you. The curtains of religion as usual have been torn down with the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ , now He has returned unto the Father and has sent the Comforter in the person of the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us unto all truth...To lead us into a personal relationship with our Savior and a love affair with the Word of God.

So join me in the celebration, Happy Pentecost Day, may we have this experience everyday.....

Happy Saturday

Subject: Happy Saturday, Christine

As our Heavenly Father said there will be;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a
time to mourn, and a time to dance.
( Ecclesiastes 3:4 *NKJV )

Dear Christine,
Well you are in luck for today is a time to laugh! So sit back and
enjoy the following message from one of our Sister's In Christ. Soon
you will be saying;
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
And just as Sarah,
Abraham's wife, said when God told her she would have a child at
her advanced age. You will be saying;
God has made me
laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.
( PSALM 126:2 ) & ( GENESIS 21:6 )

Pecans in the Cemetery

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree
just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a
bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began
dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for
me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the
fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he
passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He
slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you,
one for me. One for you, one for me." He just knew what it was,
so he jumped back on his bike and rode off.

Now just around the bend he met an old man with a cane,
hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe
what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing
up the souls."

The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to
walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled to the
cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for
me. One for you, one for me..." The old man whispered, "Boy,
you've been tellin' the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord."
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence yet were still
unable to see anything.

The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the
fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.
At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's
go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes
ahead of the boy on the bike!

The Pastor and His Son

The Pastor and his son -

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.

This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.'

His Pastor dad asked, 'Ready for what? Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out. Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain. The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining? Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather. Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?'

His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.''Thanks Dad!'

And with that, he was off and out into the rain. This eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract.

After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to20hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted.

Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered.

He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer. Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the b ell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened.

Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?' With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE.'

With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit.

As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have testimony or want to say anything?' Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, 'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before.

You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live.

So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.'I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ring in g also started knocking loudly.

I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.' I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder. When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you!

The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU.' Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.

As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more.

You see-- -I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.'

There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.

He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son... Except for One.

Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world.

He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named.

Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.

Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Heaven is for His people! Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you. Please share this wonderful message...

If you love JESUS, please forward this message. Spread His word, and share His goodness and faithfulness.

Matthew 10:32 says: 'Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven.'

Do not follow people. Follow truth.

I have read this before and every time I read it, tears come to my eyes thinking about the goodness of Jesus. When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for me , my soul cries out hallelujah ! Lord I thank you for saving me!

One day I was just like this lady in this story , backed up in a corner, lost with no hope and no sense of direction, until I heard the voice of Jesus calling me back to right standing with him. All ye that labor and are heavy laden, Jesus said he will give you rest for your weary souls.....

I posted this on my other site " Living, Loving and Laughing , this has a important message in it and I wanted to share it with everyone!

My Challenge to you today is to Smile!

Smile and the whole world smiles with you! frown and the world shuns you, thus setting off a recipe for a bad day! a long day! You can set the tone and atmosphere for your day. You are environment changers, don't let people change you for the negative.

You change them for the positive....Jesus said we are the Light of the world, so get to shining, turn your light switch on, there's a lot of darkness out there....Light up your home, your job, the bus, the mall, the store, the school where every you are with a smile......I am smiling, smile back at me!

Memorial Day 2009

For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life.
( John 3:16 *NKJV )

Dear Christine,
As you know today we remember our loved one's who have
passed before us, and we may take comfort in knowing that;
God
will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there
shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former
things have passed away. ( Revelation 21:4 )

Therefore, as we honor our loved one's who have been called
home to be with our Heavenly Father, let us not forget those
hero's who have lost their lives defending our Country. Also
all of those innocent victims of September 11 as well, for they
too are hero's! Hero's indeed!

Now Me, I would like to share a poem with you. A
poem dedicated to all of those brave hero's, and to our loved
one's as well! It is titled:

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

But be not burdened with times of sorrow,
For I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full. I've savored much,
Good friends, good times and loved ones' touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your ears and share with me.
God wanted me now. He set me free!

Happy Memorial Day!

Here's Tribute for everyone in honor of Memorial Day! To all the Armed Forces, Military, Air Force , Navy, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Special Forces, Active and Non Active, Reserves and Retired,

In memory of my sister in law's son " Cowboy " who is resting in heaven reunited with his mom, Ara " Red " Brown and sister, Rosa Barkers.

This tribute is also to everyone who is a support , to military wives , husbands, and children, I was a air force brat..... We did so much traveling in a car it was unbelievable, I suffered with car sickness, one memorable trip was in a maroon Chevy Nova with 5 young kids in the back seat, I will never forget that....back in the 60's. before seat belt laws were enforced,

I past the time yearning for a McDonald's cheese burger, fry and a orange drink, ah the good life......,
passing the miles looking for the golden arches...enough rambling about that.

Happy holiday to everyone, have a safe one, visit or call a veteran, they are the foundational reason we have our liberties, they all walked the wall so we as Americans can be safe... so to today , I shout out a big Thank you and may God Continue to Bless America!

Nails in the fence

Subject: Nails in the fence

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a
bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must
hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails
hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to
hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the
day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.

He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now
pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father
that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said,
'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The
fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a
scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.
But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will
still be there.. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one... Remember
that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and
encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise
and they always want to open their hearts to us.

unknown author

Now send this to every friend you have!! And to your family (they need
to know that you love them too).

Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole'

Lord Please Let Not Your Return Be On A Rainy Day

Lord, please let not your return be on a rainy day,

You know lord , how we do ,

fair weathered Christians with selective reasoning for the who , what and where for the things we do. Well to be honest with you just full of excuses which is a lie mixed up with a bit of truth.

If you come back on a rainy day day the crowd will be so few , you know all the reasons

1-Don't want to get my hair wet 2-Don't want to get my Sunday suit or dress wet, 3-I don't drive in the rain 4- my arthritis is acting up 5- I don't want to get wet period .

6-my umbrella is not stylish 7- I don't have any rain gear 8-Well no one is coming anyway its raining outside 9 -the rainy weather makes me drowsy 10- any excuse will do.

11-don't want to get my good shoes wet 12- damp weather makes my curls in my hair fall 13- windshield wiper don't work/ slick tires/ car problems 14-I'm coming down with a cold or getting over a cold , I don't want to relapse 15- I just plain forgot.

Lord , please let not your return be on a rainy day,

16-talked to sally sue and Billy Bob they re not coming 17-the roof on my home is leaking 18- just seeded my lawn, or reseed my lawn 19 - gotta bring my pets in 20- don't want to slip and fall on the wet stairs or sidewalk.

21- don't want to spot up my suede jacket 22-the window on my car or truck is stuck 23-my car convertible top is stuck or torn 24- the brakes are bad on my car, don't want to get them wet 25- my drive way and street is flooded with water.

26-I have a phobia of thundering and lightening 27- I can't see good to drive in the rain 28- my clothes are on the line. 29- The basketball game is on cable during that time.

30-The top excuse of all time ....drum roll please... " Rainy weather makes me sleepy."

Lord please, let not your return be on a rainy day, we will be ready for you any day , but a rainy day. Lord we know that you regard not the weather, but Lord for our sake please consider the weather...-I really wrote this really being funny, just having a bit of fun. On the flip side this is painfully true, we will serve God faithfully until it rains , then we have all sort of Excuses, the truth mixed up with a lie. We need to stop making excuses. On that note well its raining out here, I guess no one else is coming.

I'm going to go in and get my praise and worship on with the faithful few ..........

Lord, Please don't let your return be on a rainy day .....I wanna see everyone have the opportunity to make it in to heaven, a prepared place for a prepared people...

Fw: Fwd: The Letter in the Night

Subject: Fwd: The Letter in the Night

Subject: The Letter in the Night

One day a woman named Louise fell asleep in her bed, and dreamed
a
very
fitful dream. She dreamed that someone in Hell wrote her a
letter.
It
was to be delivered to her by a messenger. The messenger passed
between
the lakes of burning fire and brimstone that occupies Hell, and
found his way to
the door that would lead him to the outside world.

Louise dreamed that the messenger walked to her house, came
inside
and gently but firmly woke Louise up. He gave her the message,
saying
only that a friend had written it to her from Hell. Louise, in
her
dream
with trembling hands took the letter and read:

My Friend, I stand in Judgment now,
And feel that you're to blame somehow.
On earth, I walked with you day by day,
And never did you point the way.

You knew the Lord in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim;
You could have led me safe to Him.

Though we lived together on the earth,
you never told me of the second birth,
And now I stand this day condemned,
Because you failed to mention Him.

You taught me many things, that's true,
I called you 'friend' and trusted you,
But I learn now that it's too late,
You could have kept me from this fate.

We walked by day and talked by night,
And yet you showed me not the Light.
You let me live, and love, and die.
You knew I'd never live on high.

Yes, I called you a 'friend' in life,
And trusted you through joy and strife.
And yet on coming to the end,
I cannot, now, call you 'My Friend.'

Marsha

After reading the letter, Louise awoke. The dream was still so
real in her mind and sweat dropped from her body in pools. She
swore
she
could still smell the acrid smell of brimstone and smoke from
her
room.
As she contemplated the meaning of her dream, she realized that
as a
Christian, she has failed in her duty to 'go out to all the
world
and
preach the gospel.' As she thought of that, she promised herself
that
the next day, she would call Marsha and invite her to church
with
her.
The next morning she called Marsha and this was the
conversation:

Yes, Bill, Is Marsha there?
Louise, you don't know?
No, Bill, know what?
Marsha was killed last night in a car accident. I
thought you knew.

Fellow Christian, is this your testimony? Are you
witnessing to your friends that you are with everyday?
Or will there be a friend of yours, in hell, asking you
why you did not tell them about JESUS?

The author is unknown, this was sent by a dear friend who just moved to Texas, I pray it blesses you, as it has me as well! Have a blessed Weekend!

Are You A Secret Disciple of God ?

" Are You a Secret Disciple of God?"

Life situations and circumstances will pull you into the forefront whether you like it or not.

Life will and now has asked you for a answer for the reason of hope or joy that you have within you.

Why you act a certain way, How can you stand when your life is throwing challenges at you such as home life issues, health concerns. job stress, bills, your children issues, road rage, calls dropping on your cell phone when you right in the middle of a important call, etc., just so many things that can take you off your mark if you let them.

Do you quietly, or meekly give a answer and see if anyone overheard, or do you boldly declare the goodness of the Lord?

As Peter did on the day of Pentecost ( Acts 2:38 )We should be a light that sitted on a hill ( Luke 8:16). (John 12:32)says: even as the Son of man was lifted up, so must you be lifted up also.

Lifted up out of the seat of complacency. the seat of no answer is my answer. The seat of throwing rocks but hiding my hand.

Life will propel you to the forefront, will you stand up and be numbered with the saints? or will you just be one in the number?

Even this worlds system counts the number of legal and illegal residents we have in the US, there are no " secret citizens " even the homeless are counted on the census reports.

I want to be in the number no man could count, Why could no man count it? because this thing is done in the spirit.

What you you do in the natural affects the spiritual....

After Jesus was crucify, this natural act of Joseph, a secret disciple, stepping forward to claim the body of Jesus, it set off a chain reaction in the spirit world. It was recorded in the Bible for all the Christians to see, as a reminder, to come out of hiding who you are! denying what you believe, to stand boldly in the presence of a mighty God.

Joseph had to stop being afraid ( we all know about peer pressure ) and scared, he needed to shake off the fear he felt and bolding step in to the forefront and ask for permission to take the body of Jesus Christ. At this moment he became meat for the masters use! Are you meat for the masters use?

Come out of hiding, stop denying the gift on the inside of you, start using the gift God has placed in you. Believe what you read in the Bible, God has no secret disciples, know your worth and how valuable you are to the kingdom of God.

This thing wasn't done in a corner, the only corner I know is Jesus Christ, he is the Chief Cornerstone !

Don't limit yourself by being a secret disciple, limiting yourself of the fullness of God, the rich inheritance that is rightfully yours. Come boldly to the throne of grace where you will find rest for your soul!

Jesus touches my heart ...........

Jesus touches my heart in a way that just stops me in my tracks.

and leads me to worship and praise,

as a result of this encounter, I leave that atmosphere feeling

incomplete

and wanting more desiring more of his unwavering love,

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Oh what Love Jesus has for us that he would lay down his life for us while we were yet sinners, having no knowledge of him, yet Christ knew we would one day need a Savior......

Whatever you are going through in these troubled times, know there is a way out.....There is a Savior name Jesus, who is so loving He doesn't push or shove.

He waits for you, Love waits for you.......

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Jesus gives us a open invitation to fellowship with Him, Let the Love of Christ touch your heart, you'll be glad you did!

God Has Kept Me !

God has kept me here for a reason;

I survived because He has a plan for me.

All my bad supervisors, the bad management choices,

the death of loved ones, the back stabbing from my
co-workers and church members,

the negative thoughts or lack of executive support;

I made it because I am blessed!

I release and let go of all past hurts, misunderstanding and grudges
because I am blessed!

I recognize them as the distractions they are, for God is all there is
All else is a lie!

Now give yourself a hug, wipe your tears and walk into Victory!!!!!

This beautiful affirmation was sent to me a few years back, the Author is unknown or I would gladly acknowledge and give credit where credit is due. I pray this affirmation will jump start you to get back in the race of life, release, let go and let God!

HATERS BY MAYA ANGELOU

Subject: FW: HATERS BY MAYA ANGELOU

EXCELLENT READING AND SO-O TRUE!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY----------------

Like the blood pressure of a black woman in New Orleans , Still I rise!

Haters/ By Maya Angelou

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man/woman to hit the curb
(if he/she isn't about the right thing)
e) Raise your children without both parents being
in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled my dreams, Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at who is in charge of me...'

Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know are
not hating on you including the person who sent it to you.

If you don't get it back, maybe you called somebody out!
Don't worry about it, it's not your problem, it's theirs.
Just pray for them, that their life can be as fulfilled as
yours! Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become
a HATER!

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man
should have to seek Him first to find her.'

Maya Angelou

I vow to follow all the rules.....

Subject: I vow to follow all the rules.....

This was sent to me by my dear friend Dawn Legg, and it was so funny, I was reading it laying down in bed and had to get up.....I maybe should have posted it at my other page Living, Loving and Laughing, but not really computer literate at 6:00 in the morning , today is Tuesday, Lighten up and Laugh, you will be glad you did, free up those tight facial muscles....

Continue to be blessed from the Well! Enjoy this I did!

I vow to follow all the rules.....

Just a friendly reminder, it's that time of the year again.
Please raise your big toes and repeat after me:
As a member of the Faux Paux Sisterhood, I pledge to follow The rules when I wear sandals and other open-toe shoes:

1. I promise to always wear sandals that fit. My toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will my heels spill over the backs. And the sides and tops of my feet will not pudge out between the straps.

2. I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free. I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.

3. I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow.

4.I will shave the hairs off my big toe.

5. I won't wear pantyhose even if my misinformed girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there.

6. If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck it back in to place hoping it will stay put. I will get my shoe fixed or toss it. No matter how much it hurts.

7. I will not live in corn denial; rather I will lean on my good friend Dr. Scholl's if my feet need him.

8. I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kid's sizes. This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others. No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat, and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.

9. I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.

10. I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals. Someone has to tell her that her toes look like they've been dragged behind her car on the way to work and no sandal in the world is going to make her feet look good.

11. I will promise if I wear flip flops, that I will ensure they actually flip and flop, making the correct noise while walking and...
I will swear NOT to slide or drag my feet while wearing them.

12. I will promise to go to my local beauty school at least once per season and have a real pedicure (they are about $15 and worth EVERY penny). I say spend another $15.00 and get a even better one.

13. And finally...
I will promise to throw away any white/off-white sandals that show signs of wear...nothing is tackier than dirty white sandals...

For all our sakes, please don't keep this to yourself - pass it on to other Sisters.

May God Bless your Soles as well as your Soul!

Don't go ahead of Yourself

Wait on the Lord for your Boaz, a mighty man of wealth that loves and fears God. A man of good character, honor and integrity. ( read Ruth 2:1 verse)

Don't settle for a Ha'man ( Esther 11:1). A sneaky accuser of the brethren, having no honor or integrity ,he really disliked the Jews.

Do not settle for a right now man, that will treat you any kind of way with no regard for your feeling. Just has a unpredictable, unbridled, their no conviction attitude will be all over the place leading to a unstable, walking on egg shells shaky relationship, that is like Ha'man headed to the gallows.

Cherish the older saints such as Naomi, in the Bible she talked to her two daughters in law their husbands, her sons had died, in the midst of her pain, she offered loving Godly counsel. You see even though she saw her book closing, her life story starting to end, she could see their lives had, had a set back with the death of their husbands , that God still had a mighty plan for their lives , especially Ruth.

The church mothers whose purpose is to pray and look out for your soul, they see the pit falls that Life can bring, there is nothing new under the sun ( see Ecclesiastes chapter 1:9)

The game is the same, just played a different way, the results will always be the same, the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life.

My dear friends who are believing God for a mate, a lifelong partner, don't go ahead of yourself wait on the Lord , he will give you the desires of your heart.

Don't settle for a Ha'man, he's has a appointment with the gallows.

The Man who Thinks He Can

If you think you are beaten, you are;

If you think you dare not, you don't.

If you like to win, but think you can't,

It's almost a cinch you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow's will;

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are;

You've got to think high to rise.

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man;

But soon or late the man who wins

Is the one who thinks he can.

Walter D. Wintle

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; ..............

May these words of inspiration cause you to pick up that baton , shake off the cares, trials, problems of this life and get back into the race of living ........

Ye did run well, who hindered you? ( you hindered yourself , looking at the problem instead of looking at the problem solver)

Missed Opportunity

Don't miss it by looking at the package, your blessing may come sometimes in a way you will never expect or imagine, remember we are talking about God, the Miracle Worker!
He does what he wants to do whenever and too whoever He wants to do it through, so keep your mind and heart open. A open heart receives and gives love, a close heart is hard and receives nothing but envy, strife, and discord.

Many times we as a people have missed a window of opportunity to bless or receive a blessing because of our, shallow minded, unmerited, unbiased judgemental attitude, looking
at the way a person dressed, smelled, talked, walked, where they lived, and even worse the color of their skin.

Thank you Lord for releasing your people from these petty things, stop judging others you nor I have do not have a heaven or hell to put any one in.

Jesus holds the keys to heaven and hell. ( His death on the cross gave him that right) hell was never created for humans, it was created for the devil and his fallen angels. Jesus gives us a free choice as to where you want to spend eternity.

Do not miss the message of hope, blessing, healing and deliverance because you are looking at the messenger ( the package ).

In the Bible the people looked for a King arrayed in silver, gold, diamonds, dressed in satin and silk riding on a chariot to come deliver them, they missed it their Deliverer was born in a lowly manger, not in the finest hospital, but in a stable manger surrounded by the smells of horses, goats, and hay.

Jesus came to earth and walked among the people and still they knew him not as the Deliverer.

So the next time you have the occasion to connect with someone, give them your attention, they may be the one bringing your next bonus check, with a message of hope, blessing, healing and deliverance.

Jesus is still setting the captives free.

Is Your Heart Full ?

If you are discouraged it is a sign of pride because it shows you trust in your own power.

Your self-sufficiency, your selfishness and your intellectual pride will inhibit His coming to live in your heart because God cannot fill what is already full. It is as simple as that.
Mother Teresa / The Joy in Loving

The key words here are we must make room for God in our lives, clearing out pride,
self-sufficiency, selfishness and intellectual pride.

Look at Galatians 5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusted against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh, these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that ye would......

We must make room for Christ in our lives, clearing out the works of the flesh and operating in the fruit of the Spirit. Hereby will we begin to operate in Truth and not in the Spirit of error. Tossed to and from as if we have not a sure fountain that we can lean and depend on.

We have a sure Word today! All that we need is in the person of Jesus , make room for him in your hearts today! He stands at the door of your heart daily, knocking, won't you let Him in today?

Things aren't always what they seem

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guestroom.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."

Author unknown

The next time someone wrongs you through no fault of your own, remember this poem.

I had a customer who was very mean to everyone on a daily basis, some days he was a plain bully in his behavior. When I saw him, I looked past his outer layer, you see bullies are hurting people out of control with no self control, they will say or do anything in response to their pain they are experiencing on the inside. Know all this I started daily when he come through the store, I started everyday to peel off the layers of resentment that life had dealt him,

as I peeled a few hundredth layers ( sometimes it takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day ) off of him, I discovered some of the reason for his demeanor, why he acted the way he did, he was watching a love one at home slipping away and it pained

him so to lose the love of his life so that pain of powerlessness turned to anger. Well his wife eventually passed on and I have gained a friend who even though still gruffy at time, but yet gentle as a pussy cat when stroked.

The next time you run into a difficult situation give them the benefit of the doubt things aren't always what it seems. Have a blessed day!

When you have no answers ...... yet

What do you do in life when you have no answers, the pain in your life is great, it feels like a punch in the gut, then when you have cried all you can cry, then a few hours later another gut wrenching act coming, the curtain is falling on this scene again, the final act. Pain hits you again.....What do you do?

Read the story of Job, his words were" the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, bless be the name of the Lord" in the bible Job lost his children, property, money all that he had, but yet he trust God. Have a Job like faith. In the end God turned all this tragedy around for his good.Trust God, wait on the Lord be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart, wait I say on the Lord.....

I basically write to acknowledge the situation and to all the millions in the world who may be reading this or know someone who is going through, offering hope, offering sincere prayers, offering love and a word of consolation.

A dear friend of mine she is a coworker, on Friday her husband passed away, that was so very sad, I really start to get myself together and compose myself so I could offer words of consolation before I called her and the family, well before I could make the call, another call came in my friends son has passed also on Sunday, fifty hours apart, I screamed, let the tears fall, I was so overwhelmed with the whys , what do you do when you have no answers ?

Everyone is looking to you for a word, I need a word myself, to help make sense of all this tragedy. Nevertheless, I push past my feeling and I consider, the real people who are really hurting first hand, I call my friend to offer condolence's on behalf of everyone, and to my surprise, she encouraged me...she said she knew they were going to pass one day individually but never imagine it would happen as a package, a double funeral, then she said " they probably out camping in heaven together" then we both laughed!

Oh death where is your sting?

I thank God, for his mercy and his grace and his keeping power, this one is a little long, but I must validate this tragedy, their life and service to the people must be acknowledge. These two men Bob and Ray touched a lot of lives, they both had love for people always willing to give and help people.Whenever I saw them , I saw nothing but sincere , genuine friendliness, and they absolutely loved and adored Tilda. So sad for this to happen around Mother's day, a gentle reminder to us to seize life and cherish it!

Rest in peace father and son, camping with Jesus!

" We see God everyday in each other "

People see God everyday, they just don't recognize him.

quoted by _ Pearl Bailey (1918 - 1990)American singer

This is my beautiful niece, Shay, a sweet, dedicated motivated mother, who strives daily
to work and take care of her children ,which includes a set of twin boys, so she is super busy. I see God's image in her.....

How many people do we see in a days time that we don't acknowledge , make eye contact, hold a door for, or even the cheapest nicety of all, a friendly hello, it doesn't cost you nothing but it means the world to the receiver.

Hebrews 13:1-2 Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

I was at the laundry mat today and as I was putting my clothes in the dryer a man, at the adjacent dryer put his head up from doing the same as I was doing and gave a friendly hello with a broad cheesecake smile, he was cheesing big time. It really made me feel warm and fuzzy , that he thought enough of me, a random stranger to say
hello.

That's when I got to thinking, the Word says we entertain Angels unaware, not knowing that when we do good to a person, a stranger, with no expectations of anything in return that is when you can expect God's blessings to show up in your life.....

We see God everyday in
each other, your wife, your husband, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend ,nephew, grandparents, niece, cousin, brother, uncle, mother, father, neighbor, face book friend, coworker, a stranger, clients, patients or even your church members.( I broke it down so you could see it could be anybody ) The point is the only way you will ever see God on this earth and in this realm is through the people.

So the next time you approach some one in your daily business of life, smile and say hello, you may be entertaining a angel unawares.

Happy Pre - Mothers Day !

As we progress toward another Mother's day holiday, I pause for a moment of silence, wondering why do we need a holiday to give the greatest honor to our mothers, who have carried us in their tummies for nine months, nurtured and cared for us, denied their selves many times so we would have? then I realize we need this holiday for the people who don't acknowledge or respect their parents on a day to day basis, to even stay in touch. Yet out of guilt when the curtain of death is drawn they wail and wept the loudest at the funeral, ( whats up with that! )

A mother does so much on a day to day basics, cleaning, washing, cooking, childcare, not to meant her duties as a wife, but there is not a holiday for that! Father's Day, Mother's Day, Grandparent's Day but their is no Husband or Wife Day. Maybe that day to be celebrated is called a Anniversary Day. hmm

Well back to Mother's Day, for all the single mothers, single dads raising children, Auntie's, grandparents and foster parents this is dedicated to you. To my Mom ,Vivian Elaine Walker thank you for nurturing, loving ,molding me into the person I am today. My mom was married for twenty years to a military man my father, to this union came 6 children, well they divorced and she was suddenly alone with young children to raise......in the 70"s.........( if these dots could only speak)

Thank you for giving me life in a time when Life is causally toss away. Thank you for everything, Thank you for taking me as far as you could and releasing me to pursue a greater calling to motive, inspire and encourage people ! Thank you for teaching me the " in spite of principle " I love you Momma!

Now Everyone else call your Mother,or Mentor and let them know you appreciate them!

I just went to a funeral yesterday, that voice is silent.........
